Here are the weekly Announcements...
Range - Future dates will be announced.
Ground School –Cancelled until the end of the year.
Robotics – Any questions please speak with Capt. Harrop directly.
Band –Tuesday 7pm to 9pm
Effective Speaking – Cancelled until the end of the year.
Flag Party –Tuesday 7pm to 8:30pm
First Aid – Wednesday 7pm to 8:30pm
 
Thank you to the cadets, staff, SSC and parents who volunteered this past
weekend to make the Lower Mainland First Aid Competition a success.
Congratulations to our junior and senior teams for a job well done!
A special congratulation goes out to W02 Post and LAC Metcalf for being
awarded best team Captains for both our junior and senior teams.

Sports Night Thurs May 2nd

Drop off is at 6:30pm at Revs Bowling in Maple Ridge. Pick up is 9pm.
Bowling costs will be covered by the SSC. Please bring money if you
wish to purchase drinks or snacks.

Range - Sunday April 28th 12:30 to 3pm. Senior staff required. Sign up required for levels 1& 2 only who have completed Range Safety Training. If you have any questions please speak with Lt. Greeley.

First Aid Competition - Saturday April 27th
Come out and support your 583 senior & junior First Aid Teams. The competition is being held at Thomas Haney Secondary with the practical portion of the competition beginning between 8 & 9am. Thank you to all of those who have volunteered to help out. We couldn't do it with out you. Good luck senior & junior competitors!

Last Call for the Fraser River Explorer
Don't miss this fun and exciting opportunity. On May 4th and 5th a group of Cadets form 5 squadrons (and parents) will be exploring the wonders of the Fraser River by very large voyager canoes from the drop in point east of Mission travelling down the amazing Fraser River and pulling out near Vancouver BC. The cost of the trip is $109 per cadet and $159 per parent. If you have already submitted your payment please inform Capt. Baldwin. Past Events
583 Squadron Effective Speaking Competition
This past Tuesday 583 Squadron had its first Effective Speaking Competition. Sgt Metzner and LAC Metzner competed with Sgt Metzner placing first and LAC Metzner placing second. Congratulations to both and kudos to LAC Metzner for doing her speech in French. Both cadets will go on to compete at the Wing Competition Next Saturday April 13th in Chilliwack. Please come out to show your support.
Gliding April 1st
Thank you very much to the parents/guardians who drove the cadets for this event. These activities are a success because of your commitment to the cadets.
Tag Days March 1st, 2nd & 3rd
Thank you to the cadets who participated even though the weather wasn't perfect. We raised $2736.69. This money goes directly back to the cadets to cover expenses such as fun activities. Great job!
Pub Night Saturday March 9th
