Reminder - ACR Practice Nights May 24th & 26th

Please note these practices are mandatory for all cadets. Cadets should arrive at 1830 in Full Dress. Parent volunteers are still needed for the day of the ACR, please contact any member of the parent sponsoring committee.

Gliding - Wednesday May 4th & 11th

Time: 5:45pm to 8pm



All spots have been filled for May 4th. Cadets who don't glide on May 4th will have a chance to sign up for May 11th (after the CO's Parade Thurs May 5th).

Bush X April 29th - May 1st




Bush X will be held at Slesse Creek, Chilliwack. Cadets will depart by bus from Thomas Haney Senior Secondary on Friday April 29th at 1700 and return to the same location on Sunday May 1st at 1530. A kit list has been emailed out to all parents (If you did not receive an email please contact Capt. Harrop). This opportunity is available to all cadets regardless of the supplies they have at hand. The squadron does have access to military supplies (i.e. sleeping bags, rain gear etc.) if required. Please contact squadron staff to make arrangements.

Comox Trip April 10th - 12th


Cadets will be taking the 12:30 pm ferry from the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal on Sunday April 10th. Group check-in is at 12 pm so all cadets must be there no later then 11:40 am. Cadets should travel in uniform, bring civilian clothes (for the evening), PT (physical training) gear and a swim suit. Toiletries, towel and uniform maintenance kit are required. Cadets will return May 12th on the 4:40 pm ferry and will be bused back to the squadron between 6:30 and 7 pm (depending on traffic).

Wild Play Element Park

On Saturday April 16th the 583 Coronation squadron will be challenging the aerial course at the Wild Play Element park in Maple Ridge. The course consists of a series of suspended walkways, rope ladders and swings that participants have to cross to get through the course. This fun and active course is a great confidence builder and a good experience to share. Parents pack your camera and cheer on your Cadet as they move through the course.
