Christmas Potluck

Just a reminder that our Christmas potluck will be this coming Thursday December 16th starting at18:00h. We are asking parent volunteers to help setup food tables and decorations, please email Ron Clarke if you can come early to help. We are also looking for a fairly large tree that we can use for the evening. If you have a tree please email me. The Cadets will each be bringing a decoration to hang on it. Any other decoration garlands wreaths etc are also appreciated. F/Sgt. Montgomery is asking if anyone has gently used coats or blankets they could bring to the potluck. F/Sgt. Montgomery will be distributing the warm clothing to people in the downtown area of Vancouver. All Cadets are asked to bring a dollar store gift so they may participate in a fun little game.

Maple Ridge Christmas Parade

583 Squadron will be participating in the Maple Ridge Christmas parade again this year. The Parade will take place on December 4th. Starting at 6:00pm. The parade route will proceed along Dewdney and then turn up 224th terminating at the Bandstand. Further details will be given at this Thursdays parade night.

Volunteer Opportunity

The Christmas Hamper Society are looking for volunteers to assist with receiving donations. This is a civilian opportunity to help out in the community. This activity is not associated with the Air Cadets. The volunteers will be partnered with an adult volunteer and fire fighter at stores and malls in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.  The volunteers will help with taking the donations. Hot chocolate and food will be served to the volunteers at their station. This will take place on December 11th from 10am to 3pm.
